One of the features we launched with was a Twitter Bot that would watch for incoming direct messages where people would ask for definitions of hashtags. We later found out that it was spamming users with replies when Twitter would disable the ability to delete direct messages. We’ve taken it back to the drawing board and done some refactoring with it. We’re proud to announce that the bot is back and should be working as expected.

We’re also happy to announce a quicker way to contribute with the wiki without even going to it. If you see a hashtag you’d like to add your two cents to, simply send us an @wthashtag message formatted like this:

Please be sure to use our pre-set format. If you don’t format your messages properly, we just assume it’s just another mention. We want you to contribute easily, so please (again) stick to the format!
